Ferzanah has over 20 years’ experience across central and local government and is currently Head of Policy and Equalities at the London Borough of Redbridge, where she works to centre seldom-heard voices in policy and service design.

Her experience includes key roles in the UNICEF Child Friendly Community programme in Redbridge,
contributing to borough-wide collaboration across council, NHS and voluntary sectors.

She is the Co-founder of the Local Government & Public Services Muslimah Forum, supporting the advancement of Muslim women in public service. She also co-chair of the London Boroughs Women’s Network, connecting women across all 32 London boroughs and the City of London.
