Muslims in Public Policy (MIPP) is a registered, independent and apolitical community-interest company (CIC). We are a diverse community of Muslims working in the civil service, local government, and arms-length bodies. We believe public policy workforces should be representative, diverse, and skilled to reflect the needs of our diverse UK demographic.

Local Government
Local Government is responsible for a range of vital services for people and businesses in defined areas. Among them are well known functions such as social care, schools, housing and planning and waste collection, but also lesser known ones such as licensing, business support, registrar services and pest control. In England, more than one million people work in Local Government across a range of different types of authorities, providing more than 800 different services to local communities. Civil Service
Similar to local government, the Civil Service provides services directly to people all over the country. Civil Servants work in a range of government departments and contribute to the delivery of services in various areas including justice, education, and health. Many Civil servants also work on policy development and implementation, including analysts, project managers, lawyers, and economists.
