Irfan is the CEO & Founder of Muslims in Public Policy (MIPP), which unites Muslims working across different levels of government. Since MIPP’s inception in March 2023, the organisation has run successful mentoring programmes, university outreach, and networking events. Irfan has been instrumental in the organisation’s strategic direction, leading a team of 15, and has set up an advisory board, policies and organisational governance.
Currently, Irfan heads up the Rough Sleeping Health team at MHCLG, which oversees the funding and governance of two critical grant programmes - Housing Support and Drug and Alcohol Treatment, jointly with policy areas including adult social care, hospital discharge and mental health, affecting those who are currently, or at risk, of homelessness/rough sleeping.
