Biography:
Yasrab Shah is Director of Fundraising at Muslim Hands UK, one of the UK's leading international relief and development charities. With nearly two decades of experience at the organisation, he has played a key role in developing major fundraising initiatives and strengthening donor engagement across the UK and internationally. Originally from Leeds, Yasrab holds a First-Class BA in Arabic and Management from SOAS, University of London, and has also undertaken advanced Islamic studies in Mauritania.
Throughout his career, he has combined strategic leadership with hands-on humanitarian engagement, visiting and supporting relief operations in countries including Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Türkiye and Poland during the Ukraine refugee crisis. A regular speaker on charitable giving, humanitarian aid and Muslim philanthropy, he is also an experienced media presenter, having fronted Islam Channel's live Hajj coverage on multiple occasions and presented from the holy cities during the annual pilgrimage broadcasts.
